Welcome to CPEPnet!

The best stop for clinical nursing instructors and preceptors

CPEPnet is an online community, based at the University of Calgary Faculty of Nursing. The goal of the community is to provide clinical nursing instructors and preceptors with helpful hints, tricks of the trade and wisdom from the front line.

WHO: CPEPnet is for all clinical nursing instructors and preceptors, seasoned and novice.

WHAT: CPEPnet strives to provide the information you need in the role of clinical instructor or preceptor, from other clinical instructors and preceptors who have been there, done that, for better or for worse.

WHEN: Writing student evaluations at midnight? Need some new ideas right now for coaching a struggling student? CPEPnet is online and available when you need it: 24/7/365 Discover | Learn

WHY: The role of the clinical instructor or preceptor is complex, intense and demanding. A clinical instructor or preceptor is usually flying solo, in a nursing setting with one student or a whole group. Let CPEP be your colleague: online, handy and practical.

HOW: Join our network! Contact us with your ideas, suggestions and requests! Chat with other preceptors and clinical instructors in our Engage section.

TELL US: We welcome your comments, feedback and input. Have a better idea than we do for managing a student situation? We’d love to hear it! Need something that’s not on CPEP yet? Tell us, and we’ll get it. Contact us

ASK: Send us your question or clinical teaching dilemma and CPEPnet will gather the collective wisdom of seasoned nursing instructors and preceptors to answer it! Contact us

PRIVACY: CPEP will not share your contact information or email address. You can join our CPEPnet community, knowing your privacy is respected and your contact information is safe.
